Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I’ll play around tomorrow. Lights are going down tonight so will leave them be. Plus the salinity stress. I don’t think Sideshow Nob and Selma would appreciate a schedule change too lol.
true, I don't think you should play with lights right now with salinity off. but I do believe the sun/moon sync is to your area and not say the Caribbean etc? I'm way up north so it's already dark out.

Since we are talking lighting do you guys think I should add the light I won to my tank with the red sea lights I have?
Which one did you win?

I believe so. It’s still pretty light out here, South Carolina. Almost dusk lol

Its an Orphek its 4ft but my tank is 6ft.
Oh the OR4? If it’s a spectrum you like it should be a good supplement. Wouldn’t hurt to try it out.

Yes i think that's it. I won it in the giveaway where they have away i think like 30 lights. I haven't even opened it yet and I've had it for months.

If it helps here is the OR4 30? Which is 12” across my 35.2, which is 24”x 18” this is the freshwater version. So it may give some decent spread to help boost whatever you’re going for.

it's like late October is so dark. everyone keeps saying how much darker it seems already this year.

It’s been crazy. We didn’t get many days over 100 which is odd. This is the dog days and today was 77. Crazy.

today was the first day we got rain in like a month. but yeah, it wasn't;t hot here much either. a few days but not bad. I hope it's not going to be a bad winter. we had 2 weeks straight that was like -25 every night. I think it would warm up to like 0 during the day. I'm sure Mike remembers that spell. trying to trick the dog just to go to the bathroom inside wouldn't work.

when my phone and computer sync I'll compare pics. I used 20k yellow, 15k orange, 52mm, macro. I even used all 3 and combinations of 2. the yellow I thought looked best but the elegance just got ticked off during the photo shoot.
I use yellow, occasionally macro, and adjust the WB to 5500-5750.

I added mine to the back of my 6 ft tank. It highlights my GSP and clove polyps

My name is John. Can.you even imagine how many toilet jokes ive heard lol
I had a crew leader when I worked at Phoenix named John Snyder. I'd tell him, "Hey, pull over! I've gotta use the PortaSnyder!"

OK so I'm gaining more blue light now due to the time and tried it again. It really doesn't change much. this was at 18:20 when it was not running whites anymore.
