so I think I'm going to let this dry one more day before sanding and re-coating. Meanwhile (while waiting for this delivery guy) I made floaties for the boat so even if it takes on water, it won't sink. Need to glue all these together, wrap in glass, epoxy, and paint. I think I'm liking the mahogany boards. will be contrasting against natural wood. unless I mess it up then will be painted white.

I save all mine too! You use Corals.com too! I have been impressed with their corals.

Hey! I've used it once to just mess around with it. It was actually pretty close to my PAR meter readings.

I have been tossing it around half jokingly, just to see if anyone had any thoughts or experience. That's great rock! Im really going to try it out.

It works. If you just need an idea of what your PAR is. Mind you, I didn't put my phone in a baggy and submerge it, I just did it at the waterline. I could have put it in a ziplock baggy, but I don't want to explain that to my wife and why I need a new phone.

Lights, heater, powerheads and a surface intake Tunze filter with filter floss. No other wizardry! I talk to them and add AFR manually each evening, light an unscented candle for them and blast Pantera!

Pantera was your secret all along!? Makes perfect sense to me

Were you able to measure par at any depth that way, or were you basically getting a surface par reading?

Just surface PAR. I did end up buying a Vabira PAR meter off Amazon for like $120 compared to an Apogee at $450+. All I do is multiply the number I get by 1.1 to get the results an Apogee would give. There is a thread on here about them. They work well and will save you come coin.
