Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I prefer flexible for overflow drains and then flexible up from the return and then change to PVC behind the tank.
I swapped to flexible when I put the new pump on my system. It was just enough different that the old pvc wouldn't match up

It works. If you just need an idea of what your PAR is. Mind you, I didn't put my phone in a baggy and submerge it, I just did it at the waterline. I could have put it in a ziplock baggy, but I don't want to explain that to my wife and why I need a new phone.
I put mine in a kayak pouch once and a plastic baggy a couple of times...

Paul is that butter on your fingers, we’re you eating lobster again before taking that picture?
this was actually being used to keep the lobsters claws closed instead of rubber bands!

Now that is the face of someone who moved zoas to an unknown location. Guilty guilty guilty!
I did find them BTW. I relocated them to the back. He seems to be making a lot of dens lately. just all over the place.

I don't understand how to do flexible. Can someone send a photo of how their overflow looks? @00W ?

While this is not an overflow, this is my skimmer with a flexible tube. Mines heavy duty corrugated outside but smoothie inside. This attaches to my Sicce pump and pumps the water into my skimmer.

Thank you for this. I probably won't buy a new skimmer till I can get good sump run time and my remora is a B rated skimmer so I can keep it for as long as I need.
