Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
He had 9 total seizures yesterday. The last one was at 11:45 last night. By 7 o'clock this morning when we were leaving for church he was alert and moving around mostly normal but was lethargic. We got home about 30 minutes ago and he has his energy back and is playful and everything.

The one last night lasted about 30 seconds so it was relatively short but it took a lot out of him.

We've added another supplement to help and we're not feeding him dog food anymore (both times were within a day of switching back to dog food from raw).
so I missed a lot. but is the vet thinking it's diet then?

Don't get me wrong. I like a lot of Dwight Yoakam's music. And he's a fantastic guitar player. It's just really rare for me to find a music video that I actually like. Really rare.
I think I can change your mind, Wes.

No. He's a Spitz breed (think Husky/Malamute). Unfortunately Spitz type dogs are prone to Idiopathic Epilepsy (in other words - He has seizures but we don't know why).

What we've found through some research is that with Huskies it may be due to problems with Zinc so adding certain supplements helps them process Zinc easier.

The diet, we've had 2 dogs die within 6 months of each other from leukemia. Both were young. After that, we switched to raw food and have much healthier dogs. However, recently we've gotten a little lazy on buying chicken since dog food is easy. Now we're having dogs with health issues again so whether it's diet related or not, we're going back, at a minimum, for the health of the rest of the dogs.

our last pup loved chicken. we could not cook it in the house without him sitting on our feet. ever meal he would be there with us. so this new one I do not want to let her have any chicken. so far its good and she doesn't care when we eat.

Do you do it there by getting water from your own sump?
You can't see in this video, but the intake is actually in the display, so you suck up some of the stuff you're stirring up, and it gets caught in the filter. When you're done, you pump water through it backward to rinse the filter out.

Hey does anyone have experience fragging leather? I have a green Sinularia leather that I need to frag. How do I do that?

No experience, but from everything I've seen, including this video, it looks fairly easy.

Howdy Parker, I have the same coral. I used a bone cutter but scissors will work also. The tricky part is mounting it. I put the frag in a plastic bowl with rock rubble and set it in a low flow area. In two to three weeks it attached to a piece of rock which then can be mounted to a plug or directly to the rock scape. We have a young man on here about a year younger than you Camden ( @cdemoss01 ) that could use a mentor. I showed him a picture of your tank from Instagram. Good luck!

An interesting story about our dogs and chicken: for years they ate only raw chicken. One of them since he was a puppy - he never had dog food once we weaned him off. We raised a couple of chickens in our backyard and they got out of the coop one day. He grabbed one thinking it was a toy and shook it but didn't bite it or kill it. He did injure it so I had to put it down. I didn't feed it to that dog (just in case) and I didn't have any more problems with the dogs and the chickens again. I figured once he got ahold of the chicken he'd figure out it was the same as his food but he didn't...
