Has anything else been plugged in downstream on the same circuit? In other words, what else is tripping in the house when the breaker trips? Potentially you have a bad neutral downstream of the outlet or you have a fan or something kick on downstream that causes an overdraw.

nothing is plugged in. the other outlets are dining room. so far it has been fine after removing the GFCI. May not be safe right now but need to rule that out.

the covered bridge is 4' long and the station about 2'x2'. they are real buildings. I think the station was on the Swiss railway, Susch?. but I made the stuff to scale so there are no longer boards than what would have been available back then. found to "age" wood, you mix a bottle of India ink with 90% isopropyl and spray it on wood. when alcohol evaporates you are left with weathered looking wood. I did all this during baby naps as the stay at home dad.

Funny thing is I built all of mine while ostracized to one room while my wife was giving violin lessons. When the pandemic hit and she stopped giving lessons, I stopped building structures. Now my wife is in a small college orchestra and I'm starting to eye my buildings again...
