maybe it comes out at night. something must be scaring it to hide in the sand. if you dig for it it might make it worse.

No, I haven't moved the sand thinking about that, I don't think he comes out at night, he always came out around 3 pm and today is the second day, we have to wait and see what happens.

My firefish hid for a whole week, I thought he was dead. Then one day he decided he was ready to come back out. Maybe he just got spooked?

I don't think he's gotten into a fight with any fish, but anything can happen. Clownfish are a little jealous of the Cinnamon Grandis Palys, but I've never seen them attack him specifically.

Anyone got suggestions on a fish that would be ok in my pico? I have read/ watched videos that said tailspot blenny, clown goby, and firefish as well as others I can't remember but wanted to see if you guys had other suggestions.

It's not summer and beach time yet lol and I work in pants more than 10 hours a day, in summer they take a different color lol

Glad to hear because melanoma is a real thing Dermatologist down there are driving around in Miami Vice vehicles while dermatologist in northeastern Ohio are living near the poverty level because we only get a few days of sun a year. :winking-face:

And you don't see him anywhere in the floor? Have you checked the overflow/sump?

My melanurus and garnoti both disappeared for a couple of weeks when they were first added. Sometimes sand sleepers do that and then they just show up all of the sudden - both were fat and happy when they finally emerged.
