Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I need to find a LFS that'll give me a decent trade credit for my Strats. I've got the 110 Freshwater getting setup (found a 38" piece of Manzanita I'm probably picking up for $15 today), I've got the 8 and 5.6 saltwater Picos that are setup, and I've got about 500 Strats I need to trim...

I'm thinking Hector's or Rainford Goby, Clown Goby, Neon Goby, and a Shrimp or Prawn Goby/Pistol Shrimp combo for 1 and inverts only for the other.
Hectors is one of my favorite fish, just a classier Rainfords so I really like them both. Thanks for using an old school name, Court Jester is just plain a weird name...

Also I want to upgrade 1 (maybe both?) of the Pico pumps to the Sicce Synca Silent 0.5.
I have several of the Picos around and upgraded them all to Silent 0.5s

Went to a souvenir shop yesterday to pick up a few more of our favorite mugs.

By some coincidence, the shop is right next to AZ Reef Monster...

And you of course had to stop by reef monsters right?

Those are really beautiful Tim!
Those are the rare ones or super pricey ones?
Supposedly... They grow faster than Pandora's for me.

Will you be going salty with the GloFish tank?
No. I think I'm taking it to replace the 6 gallon on my desk at work and bringing the 6 gallon home to replace the 1 gallon.

Weird coincidence.

I have always wanted to visit your state. Can we get a moose first?
Sad Please Please Please GIF by myHQ
To be 100% honest I've never actually hunted moose. You have to put in for a drawing and I've never gotten lucky

Had grass back east, it's overrated.
I actually turned off the irrigation when I moved in 8 years ago. I wish I didn't have grass...

Hey @tharbin if you have any interest in a Hogfish, Ocean Floor has a Twin Spot for $60.

Our irrigation to the backyard sprung a leak about 10 years ago. Fixed it, it broke again in about 6 months, fixed it, it broke again in about 4 months, called in a pro to fix it, broke in 3 days, turned off rear irrigation. Thought about it and turned off front irrigation a few months later...

Thanks, holding off on any fish for a while, or at least trying to, my wife has fallen in love with the two something-or-other Storm or maybe Storm something-or-other clowns in the display tank at AZ Reef Monster. I keep saying no but...

Luckily the ones they had for sale didn't do it for her. Might end up adding another tank.

Figured I'd better post this here since my thread is a little less peopled, just to prove that Arizona does have snowglobes although to be fair those are all sandglobes on both sides of the lone snowglobe.

Gotta run over to our parish and install some printer drivers and an access point, back later.

Would it be detrimental to my pico if I run the light maybe an hour in the morning, then turn off and then run the light again for the longer time frame? Just trying to have it on at optimal viewing time line breakfast/supper.

Not really, I'd spray some water to keep dust down, but the rocks pretty soft compared to glass and other things you'd use that hole saws to cut. Drill to your desired depth and if it's not all the way through, tlstick a screw driver or something in and snap the slug out :)
True, but it's a really quick job, I'd just dunk the rock in RO and drill it out
