Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
So just leave the ato unplugged for now and mic some water. Gotcha.
I have lots of extra space in my sump, so when i've had to do it in the past, i've just added a small amount of extra salt water, let it evaporate back down to my ato level, measured, and then just rinse and repeat till I got the level i wanted. As long as your system won't overflow if you shut your pumps off, you can add more water than your ato usually would.

Pull 20, replace 10.
Or, as others have said, let it evaporate. Pulling 20 of the lower salinity and replacing with 10 mixed around the 1.025 SG and it'll raise salinity by about 0.0008 per water change. It'll take 8 or 9 total water changes to bring you up, but evaporation will help some during that time getting you close to the 0.001 per day.

Yeah if the pumps were off right now I’d overflow. It’s as full as it would be when I do shut them off lol.

I guess I should ask, how much "extra" water made it to the sump? Remove that plus 10 gallons and then add 10 gallons of regular salinity water change water and then each day afterwards you can do another 10-15 gallons changed until you get back to normal salinity.

Anemones will deflate to expel all the water from their systems and reinflate/deflate periodically throughout the day until their bodies reach that normality with the water in your tank.

If you have a fan or 2, you can greatly increase evaporation by putting them on there.

Edit:im getting caught up and dont think i'm fully aware of the situation lol, can probably ignore my advice haha

She overflowed her attached ATO chamber directly into her sump dropping the SG from 1.025 to 1.020.

Mmmm... so evaporation could be a good plan, but a slow plan depending on how much is needed to remove. Before I out my air conditioner in, I was using a fan and my house was getting hot, I could evap 4 or 5 gal a day..

picked this up yesterday. 3266 pieces. should take a bit. would be great during a rain or snow storm with a cup of coffee.

That is cool! I am officially jealous. Legos were always my jam, now I step on them 24/7.

Sideshow Bob and Selma seem fine. No sighting of Flotsam or Jetsam but that’s pretty normal. Nems all closed, even the rock flowers. The bubbles have moved about on the rock, one going inside a large crevice. I think today when the salt gets here I’m going to pull about two gallons and replace with some fresh mixed to 1.023. Should bump it up just a hair. That shouldn’t be too much, in a 70 gallon system, right? In any case the sump is over full so I need to pull some out anyhow.
I have to ask if Flotsam and Jetsam are named after the band or the marine debris? Either way those are the bwst fish names ever!

Morning y'all!
Have a great day everyone!
Peace ✌️

Joel, you made my day with this one. Rafael Belliard was always one of my favorite Braves. He couldn't hit himself pit of a wet paper bag, but he shut down the entire right side of the infield with his defense.
