Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Fluanzacole is already working. Walked in and everything is bubbly including the film algea. Weird but if it works I have no problem with it. Nudibranch has caused my power head to get clogged with dead gha.

Great to hear and good morning Camden!

I just checked and my new little friends are out for delivery today. I had put a note to hold shipping until Monday but they must not have seen it. Do you guys think its ok to put them in the pico or should I put them in my acclimation box in the big tank for a while? The ammonia alert tab is reading safe but I can add prime just incase and am going to do a water change this evening.
You just added water yesterday? I'd give it a few days, especially if it's shrimp and crabs in that order. Shrimp can definitely be a bit more sensitive.

Good morning. @tbrown do you have any idea how to get more waste into my Remoras collection cup? I cant lower its height anymore due to the piece that "guides bubbles" into the tube?

I just want to share the experiences I’ve had since eating the radioactive shrimp from Walmart. I have an uncanny ability to hang upside down from arches and I have become excellent at cleaning dead skin and parasites off people! For some reason cocktail sauce is my kryptonite. Gotta go my shrimpy senses are tingling! 😉

No the tank has been running since February but the filter got turned off over the weekend over night and I lost three upside down gobies, sexy shrimp, and porcelain crab. I think it's still technically cycled. The hermit crab and snails seem to be doing ok.

There should be either a twist knob that adjusts air flow and water flow or the pump should be adjustable?

Increasing air flow and/or water flow will create a wetter skin which means you'll have to empty the cup more frequently but it also means more junk is getting pulled.

Sadley my maxi 1200 broke that price off a while ago. I could always get a new maxi as they are cheap as dirt.

Ok. I thought you were adding them to the brand new tank you picked up.

If the ammonia levels are down and the temperature and all is stable it's probably good to go. Are you running carbon? If I remember, you lost some RFAs in that tank which can release toxins. That would be my only real concern at this point.

Unfortunately it looks like on those skimmers increasing the flow into the skimmer or lowering the collection cup in the body are the only two adjustments.

There is carbon but I didn't have any RFAs in there. I did at one time but they didn't make it but that was several months ago. 😉

Do you know how?

Apologies everyone.
I try to talk with everyone but honestly this has been the craziest, busiest summer I can remember.
I thought when you got older things slowed down a bit but my goodness 😳....
Have to move my daughter again this afternoon, work today, pictures later...
Be kind to one another ✨
coming home or a new place?

I wonder if a CT scan would pick that up?
