GHA in the fuge....are you doing algae scrubber? every time I turn off my main pump to WC and turn it back on I get all this white flakey crud come out. I can only guess its sponges that are in the pump? I keep thinking to use a sock over the returns next time but alas, I still haven't. it snows for about an hour. hopefully your live stock is OK.

No I don't have a scrubber I just have an open chamber with some Refugite sand in the bottom and a Tunze ecochic refugium light over it running a reverse cycle from the tank. I had some Gracilaria in there, there may even still be some, but they want too much money now for fuge macros so I just grow GHA in there and harvest it about once a week.

bumbles for vermatids? I bought a bunch a long time ago and are still thriving. I went to an LFS today and they had a giant pitho. I wasn't sure what it was at first. it had horns like a chameleon. I need to do another corals.com order. maybe I'll win I want a chalice and a torch. the Rastas I like but kind of pricey right now. plus I have a few other thing I need to buy yet that will be a big price tag.

Yes on the vermatids, they are just starting to become an issue so now is the time to hit them.

The first time my wife saw a Pitho she didn't want it in our tank but I bought it anyway. It quickly became her favorite critter.

I'm also thinking about a corals.com order. I've never ordered from them but they have some nice looking pieces and I keep hearing good things about them.

I have ordered a bunch from them and they do not disappoint. always good sized stuff. and free ship over $200. I highly recommend them. maybe Kev can walk over and hand pick the stuff for us in the future?

Ooooooh, they have grape monti as well. I've been looking for a grape monti for a long time.

Just curious, do you dose no pox (carbon) or microbactor 7 or clean. Not talking about kalkwassor or 2 part.

I’ll need to drive by them the next time I’m out that way. It’s a good thing they don’t have in store shopping. I probably wouldn’t be celebrating my 35 year wedding anniversary in December.

I ordered my pompom crab after I had already placed the order for my other critters. The person that packed him must not have seen the other order that is suppose to ship Monday so all they sent me today is my pompom and I'm ok with that. Lol

I kind of think the Pithos are creepy looking...

they are but they stay under the sand mostly during the day so you won;t need to look at them much. I see them early in the morning and when winding down headed to bed.
