Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
To me, this looks more like diatoms than cyano or dinos but it can be very hard to differentiate one from the other. Is it smothering anything in your tank?
It’s trying to cover the zoas some but that was mostly due to them being closed when the salinity dropped. Diatoms would be great.

I saw 2 at my petco this Thursday and to just walk away also lol
They had 3 German Blue Rams... I almost got them and a freshwater Angel (buy 3 get 1 free sale) but the Angels weren't pretty and I'm almost positive it was 2 males and a female Ram.

Rams are gorgeous fish. You're making me miss my cichlid tank 😢

It is really hard to tell them apart sometimes but to me the texture looks like diatoms. Whichever it is it could easily transition to one of the others. I would suggest that if you are running any GFO, No-Pox or similar to stop for now and if you can increase the flow in the affected areas. It would also not be a bad idea to add some bacterial cultures like Microbacter 7 or PNS. You probably had some bacterial die-off during your sg episode and bad stuff is trying to colonize the areas.

By the way it look to me like your nems will be fine. It can take them a long time to completely recover but they all look healthy to me.

So this came yesterday from @Rocks reef

Here is a no-filters grab shot of it mounted on my tank. I haven't finished adjusting the flow on the gyre yet or finding the corals new homes. Hopefully that will be later today

Looks great Tom!

Looks great Tom!
I still need to pull out the old power brick holders, print one for the Meridian 35 power brick and do a bunch of rewiring but it's a start.

Looks great Tom! As much as I love my radion, I may very well choose this light for my upcoming frag tank.

It's too soon for me to give it a ringing endorsement but everything under the Meridian 11 seemed to be doing better than the things under the Primes. I know @VintageReefer seems to like his. I also like that if I find I need more lights I can just add a bigger power brick, a distribution cable, mounts and one or two Edge bars and still have only one cable to the lights and one power brick/plug in the stand.
