I believe my tank looks the way it does due to my filtration system. I bought my sump used , so it's an older style wet dry/ trickle filter. Some of my live rock is exposed to the air, as the water cascades down to the live rock it keeps it wet and well oxygenated..

I also feed my corals twice a week using Reef Roids.
