Upon closer inspection of the stand top it swelled pretty significantly and had a sizable hump in the middle ...... sooooo I replaced it with 1’ birch I’m not going to paint this one . I took the top and framed it up with some 2/6 it’s going to be a perfect stand for the water station. Decided my old 75 gallon is going to be a Refugium and house my RO bucket and have the main RO line connected to a float valve and backup float switch.

I’m on the fence about a new apex unit ..... I have to get all new probes anyway ..... anybody have thoughts about updating or just keep it rolling with the old one ?

Drilled the back of the tank and installed two schedule 80 bulkheads for bucket less water changes . I must say I was quite hesitant to drill the glass since I have never done it , did my research got the right equipment and it went like butter !

Most of the plumbing parts came today for r the sump and Refugium , going to need more for the mixing station . Installed plexi slide out panel ,I like it better with no hinges or locks same with the front panel they both fit tight . Should keep the kiddos out .

Very cool! What does the back side of the electric panel look like (next to sump) and where did you get the switches set up? Looks like all the plugs go on the bottom outlets but the individual switches are at the top..

Also, what type of hardware did you use for the clear panel? Can tell why it’s not falling in the second picture due to gravity.

Picesduh These are pics of the back of the equipment panel . The switches are setup as the main fast on off for major components like all three power bars and stuff that doesn’t need to be controlled by Apex or DA like the tunze ato .

I picked up some 1/2 inch aluminum stock this morning and painted it with krylon and cut it with a jigsaw with metal blade , sanded the back and glued it with gorilla glue . The panel is 1/8 thick plexiglass and mounted a handle to it .

Thanks for the questions!

More plumbing done , trying not to screw up that bad lol . Also starting on the water change system on the back of the tank , one line to empty and one to fill should make water changes super easy flip a couple of valves and done !
