120 gallon

I am thinking about setting my 120g 2x2x4 up in my mobile home. It's a newer home only a couple years old but not on a foundation. Does anyone else have any experience doing this? I know I have to check the floor joist and was thinking of adding some support underneath. There's a steal structure that runs the length of the trailer on both sides but it is set about 2 feet in on each side.

Definitely add support. There will be a lot of weight in a 120.

But as long as I add the support this shouldn't be a issue? Will simply stacking cider blocks underneath the area the tank will go work? Obviously it would have to be fit to the beams.

Those are mini support columns. They are sold at menards, lowes, Home Depot. Gonna be out there in a bit and will find a price for you and sizes.

Awesome! Thank you. I will definitely be buying a few of these. How many would you suggest?

I would do minimum 2. Then a support beam, say a six by six to hold the floor up and level. Maybe to be safe a pair of these supports. So 4 supports and 2 six by six. Would make it very sturdy at that point.

Installing 3/4 plywood under your stand will help spread out the weight also.
