Wish they still made wood rims :(

Not necessarily. Sometimes he tells you you're doing something wrong when you're not.

Hopefully he never finds out I use tap water instead of RODI...
Same. I have a RODI setup , but haven’t used it almost a year…

By the way what are using for a stand? Premade, DIY?
Probably DIY. I know a good guy who could help me build a stunning stand. Or I do it myself which won't look half as good...

Don't worry about me

I'm just a scaredy cat

I pulled up all my carpet in the living room and replaced with slate, so I wouldn't have neurosis about setting up a big tank

I would have installed a drain in the floor, if I had the money to do that

I'm very much the same way. Once I'm burned, it'll sting decades down the line. Not a grudge thing, just situational stuff. Grudges I do not hold over one hour. But that leak I had 15 years back? My mismanagement with my first 29g FO tank 33 years ago? LOL, those are still fresh.

Excellent choice! In for a penny, in for a pound!

Also, @WalkerLovesTheOcean, your Happiness quote......An excellent way to live life. Mine, along the same lines, is "Life is a State of Mind" from the movie Being There. The very last line of the movie in fact.

I love that quote!

I love that quote!

Yeah, I came down with Cancer a few decades ago. Around that time, I re-watched that flick and it affected me (again). Before CA, I had seen that flick and had only  passively regarded the quote as one one of life's simple truths. But after CA? I have  LIVED that quote. Actively. Every minute of every hour. Every hour of every day. It was well timed, as I got to hone in on that attitude when my kids were 2 and JUST conceived. It changed my life.
