Hello, i am sort of new here, and this is my second tank which is a 160g peninsula, will be sps dominant.

Shortly:

160g Optiwhite custom built tank with bean animal overflow.

~3-4cm kz aragonite sand

60kg bali live rock

Royal exclusive double cone 200 skimmer

Fauna marin zeomatic reactor

Vectra m1 return pump

Currently 1 mp40

Ati sunpower 8x80 dimmable

So everything seems to be ok so far, waiting for cuc and after that i will add first fish.

I am planning to run full fauna marin zeo light system, on my old tank i had great success with fauna marin products and they are easy to use and does not require that much attention.

The tank has been setup for a month now and i am goin through my algae phase, although i never seen that kind of algae.
The parameters after cycle:
Kh 6
Ca 425
Mg 1245
Po4 - 0
No3 - 0

So how should i fight this algae? Let it die off when i increase mg?

And any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated. :)

Welcome. Im kinda jealous because I really want a peninsula for mine. Looks like green hair algae, and I have the same problem. Thinking of pulling the rock and bathing it in peroxide.

I think that there is no need for the peroxyde treatment, i will raise mg and see if that helps if not then pluck it!

And two talbot damsels, for now sitting in qt plan is to treat them with chloroquine phosphate. I got cp from ebay, seller is reputable and wrote that it came from national fish pharmacy. Here is a link https://m.ebay.com/itm/Chloroquine-...-velvet-brook-AQUARIUM-USE-ONLY-/231636780028

Should i trust that it is pure? Because in Latvia it is quite impossible to get cp.

So almost ready to transfer all the livestock to my new tank.
How should i do it? In one day or in several?
My plan was to do it slow, few corals a day untill all of them are transfered.

The peninsula seems to be stabilasing, algae is retreating, can see some pods here and there. Alk, ca, mg seems stable.

As for qt tank, damsels are eating and swimming, although i see a few white patches on the bigger damsels pectoral fin, they are there for some days and still there so that is not ich, and some fin rot. Dosed cp 5days ago and yestetday dosed aquarium munster ektomor for fin rot will see how that goes.

It took less time then i thought to transfer all sps to peninsula, so almost everything is transfered except few crabs and snails. Next step add first fish.

Overall i am quite happy
Adjusted sump flow rate to ~3x previously had my vectra m1 on max which is ~8x turnover :)

Hooked up apex and the workload reduced quite a lot now.

And laughed so hard when i saw my crab taking a ride on tuxedo urchin. :D

So currently have one clown, coral beauty and bristletooth tang in my tank. Decided that i want a purple tang, should i anticipate any aggression between them?

A bristletooth and a purple can work, but know that it maintains a risk of aggression. If you have an acclimation box I would suggest using it. Also make sure they are both juvenile, while bristle's are more tame compared to other tangs, they are still territorial. Depending on the coral beauty they may be all sharing the same algae food source so make sure you keep them all well fed.

Coral beauty and bristletooth are like brothers nipping same places, though bristletooth is fairly large, about purple i dont know what size it will be. As i understood both tangs are not similar shape or color. And adding purple last would aswell reduce aggression since purple is more aggressive than bristletooth?

It could, but they could also hate each other. It is impossible to predict, but I would just plan on initial aggression with an acclimation box so they get to know each other and keep an eye on it. It usually settles down again once hierarchy is established.
