So i picked up a Tunze 6105 for the DT and a 250W mh t5 combo for frag tank. For now tho i put the mh over 1 side of the tank just to test mh vs led for myself. So far most the corals under mh+t5 dont look as good. Theres a few that look the same and none look better. Will see how it goes overtime. I also have some corals.that havent looked good under led so gona see if mh colors them up properly.

Looks like you have real good coral color in your 180. Do you have your Tunze 6105 on 18v or 24v and where are you aiming the flow up or at a glass wall?

So decided to try the regular flow nozzel since the wideflow just wasnt doing what i wanted and man dust comming up everywhere much better flow now. I think the wideflow powerheads are best left for 4' tanks.

Is your tank 5' or 6' feet? Mine is 5feet and I am having to point UP with the 18v so sand doesn't go every where, figured I will use the 24v when my coral are much bigger and need more flow.

6' what kind of sand do u have? Im using crushed coral and tropic eden reeflakes mixed so its heavy
I only have the crushed coral for my 3/4 in sandbed, seems the flow bounces off the walls and causes sand dunes in the opposite sides corners. Just got the 24v from Tunze today - kudos for the quick response from them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your reef tank!!! Still can't wait to come see it.

Nice gotta love tunze customer service.

So... Where is the belated one year birthday photo shoot?

:der:

Ima big slacker i havent shot my 11 month or 1 year videos either haha

Well technically i shot the 11 month just didnt edit and post it.

Ill post soon my red planet is looking sick. Never seen one look so good :)

Guess I can't really say much......

When was the last time I updated anything?

Changed up my leds a bit. I had them kinda spaced like strips in between the t5 now they are clustered like i originally had them. I also removed one of the t5 as it just was to much and killed the shimmer.
