2 channel apex to tunze stream cable guide???

getting ready to settle in for the night and watch a couple hundred videos on how to tweak this bad boy just right. One quick question i probably wont find on there is i have apex lite system with no orp probe. I have added FMM - leak detector, VDM for stream cables for tunzes. How important is the orp probe??
ORP is usually monitored when dosing ozone, but can be utilized to track trends, either up or down. Say for instance, something dies in your tank and you're unaware of it, you would see a drop or spike (most likely a drop). The only time I notice a swing, is after a water change, but nothing to be alarmed about. I think a salinity probe is more important, it's not super accurate, but you would notice a change, which would prompt you to check. Honestly, the most important probe is the temp probe, pH is second, salinity third and ORP last. Just my two pennies.
Btw, you should check out Derrick's live stream (reef automation) tmw morning (depending on where you live). Good info and he always gives away stuff, so win, win.

Thanks brother i appreciate all the good info and time!

That's what I thought when I first started, but once you understand the principles, it gets easier. Watch some of Derrick's videos, as he walks you through it, step by step. Virtually everything is on YouTube, so just type in the search criteria, viola! When I started reefing, we just had books and very few to choose from.

I’ve watched all of Derrick vids and while they’re great- they’re very general.

Yes virtually everything is available on YouTube, but strangely enough, I haven’t been able to find anything that’s actually specific for setting up Tunze pumps using Apex 0-10v ports.

With Hydros now having much easier control setups/UI…Man I’d sure hope Apex makes tasks like this far easier and intuitive.
Having to go into 3 separate areas or more to add code (virtual outlet, VarSp, profiles setups etc?? just to control my two Tunze pumps?..sorry but just that’s extremely lazy on Neptunes . Especially with today’s sleek control apps like for AI Nero pumps.

Maybe it’s just me…but I learn from seeing instead of only reading ..so if something’s not totally intuitive like AI Nero’s pump control app…Id at the very least would expect Neptune to produce step by step video tutorials for this (but of course they want us to buy their WAV pumps not Tunzes

I hope BRS team finally brings Neptune from DOS era to windows or IOS. LoL.

There’s also a chance I just suck at finding the right videos or threads..if anyone happens to know of an instructional video specific to control setups of Tunzes with Apex or a thread with simple code I could copy would be super appreciated.

Sorry this turned into a rant ..
Cheers.
