Very nice, what lid do you have? I probably need a knew one.Nice 29 gallon. I recently had to upgrade my 16 gallon to one (by had to, I mean my 16 gallon sprung an irreparable leak, so mor like forced to or lose all my corals and my clowns and sixline). Still a work in progress as I need some more rockwork, like two more fish to get adequate fish poop for my corals, maybe another powerhead, maybe a second A360X light to replace my A80 that I use for supplemental lighting currently. But it is going well so far. Will post a pic later, as my lazy butt hasn't bothered to take a pic since I got the A360X setup last week lol.
But here is a pic from a few weeks ago.
Its a glass lid I purchased off of Amazon, that has not been in stock for a few weeks. Maybe I bought the last one lolVery nice, what lid do you have? I probably need a knew one.

How much GPH was it pushing? In mine I currently have a Koralia Nano 425GPH powerhead, along with my return pump which is 210GPH. So 635GPH total. And I am thinking I need to get something else... but probably with a controller, so I can tune it and also have the powerheads set on something other than "nonstop".Tank is completely filled. A problem is the jebao wave maker is too powerful so I returned it, and will get a different one.
I wasn’t thinking and got one way too powerful. Jebao could-150. 6000 - 7500gph. I ordered a jebao slw-20. I had the pump in the lowest setting, and it was pushing the sand everywhere. How much GPH was it pushing? I've always had my best results with a fish-in cycle with Fritz Turbostart along with using Seachem Prime to mitigate initial ammonia toxicityUpdate:
So 2 days a go, I bought some more Imagitarium bacteria, as they didn’t have bio spira. I ghost fed to get ammonia for the bacteria. The next morning ammonia present no Nitrite, or nitrate, same today. Maybe the two bottles didn’t do anything.
I don’t want to pay for more nitrifying bacteria, so I will just do a fish less cycle. I’m hoping I see nitrite tomorrow, and by Sunday, I only have nitrates.
Sand should settle out but I still run carbon + gfo no matter whatI washed the sand fairly well, but it looks like it’s still made the water cloudy, should I run carbon? Or leave it.
In a 15 I have the SLW-5 and set to ~3. Sand grain size could be too small as well. I used Fiji Pink but really wish I did the Special Grade Reef Sand instead.I wasn’t thinking and got one way too powerful. Jebao could-150. 6000 - 7500gph. I ordered a jebao slw-20.
