Larger water changes will not hurt. A two day blackout will not hurt. Light and excess nutrients will fuel the bloom. The idea here is to remove the light and excess food, as well as the mass of dead cells that will be the result of the UV.


that looks like my tank if i dosed a whole bottle of ab+ at once. You have a algea bloom. Uv sterilizer will blast them to smithereens in a couple days thats all you can really. Algea will probably outgrow doing water changes and besides youll just be giving it fresher water. Turn lights off and add uv and feed less and do water changes
