40 breeder

Looking for lighting for a 40 breeder was thinking t5 but not many affordable options in a 36" fixture would a 24" 4 bulb be enough light for softies and lps...what about the aquatic life t5 hybrid it has 36 inch fixture with 4 bulb..it cost less than other 36 inch models as long as you don't add the led lights listed as compatible

I picked up a 36” aquatic life t5 fixture for my 40b for $242.00 shipped to my door.. still need to install bulbs and my LED’s

For only softies and LPS that fixture should be fine. Come tax time you can get a couple of AI Primes HDs to complete it.
