This definitely NOT the gaft bonsai! Growing back so slow since the last trim (to the base). But I like the shape, and the branches grow so thick, bushy, and...blue! Super blue.

Vivid fire garden. Ppl say it and the red planet are same acro. I never own a red planet, but compare to online pictures, I think this acro is more worth keeping than the red planet.

I am only on page 3,,, awesome,,,, I am hoping before I reach the end,,, I see a tank upgrade,,, with your skills,,, you need a bigger tank :)

Your tank looks great. I had a calcium reactor on my 50 gal sps tank also had a hard time keeping it dialed in on such a small system. Went back to 2 part with apex Dos. All is back to normal. Sounds like you should go back to 2 part for that tank. As for your Ca Rx build another system to fit it. Lol. Just kidding. Keep up the great work. Corals are stunning.

Thank you. In case you haven't check it out yet, I am working on a new tank project. Search for the "100 gallons acros tank".
[emoji4]

Mr V once again there's no better pictures and a SPS better system than yours, thanks again for be the inspiration for many of us!!! Kudos [emoji106][emoji225][emoji886]

what camera do you use?

My camera is Nikon D3200 with the stock lens. (18~55mm I think).

I just read this entire thread from start to finish. It is very helpful, inspiring and THANK YOU! I am at that stage where you were in your first year with some browning out acros checking my values daily and dosing the red sea system yada, yada yada. Trying to figure out how i can setup a functional fuge on a JBJ 45 and cut out NoPox and GFO. I looked at the pax belum algea reactor nano 18 today, but cleaning it looks like a pain. Anyway this is inspiring and informative. I hope i can turn the page to my acros growing and coloring up like yours and like my lps. Please keep posting. Mark

Sorry for no update on this tank and the 100 gallons systems. I am way too busy lately. With work, school, and a baby boy coming next January.
I don't even have time enjoy the tank! But my system knows me well, it's doing good despite being neglected.
Corals start touching each other and the branches become too thick to trim. It's almost like their base touching.

What a problem to have!
Looks great as always. :)

It's fun at first, but quickly become real trouble when they decide to kill each other. I start taking colonies out and replace them by frags.
Pictures update soon.

Beautiful reef! What par do most your acros get? Also what's your nitrates run at? Ty!
Thanks. I test for par a while ago, most of the middle and top acros have 500~600 par. The rest around 200~300par.
I don't test for nitrate or phosphate in this tank.
I only test for alk one a week, cal and mag one a month.

Something weird happed to my Walt Disney. It turns to...yellow.
The color is actually glowing, way better than its natural color. But I suspect it more bad than good.[emoji848]
Everything stay normal, except for the Mag go up to 1600.
