Picture of the polyp bailout due to too much flow after cleaning pumps.

Has been remedied.

Haven't ran into this yet. Thinking of two options for treatment.

1. Do nothing
2. Try to remove the bailed tissue
3. Consult my more experienced friendlies who may have advice

in my past experiences there is very little that can be done. if there is any rotting or decomposing tissue still jellied in there then yes absolutely remove it. the worst part about this is that when this happens to me any connected head where the coral hasn't completely split is also very likely to bail or jelly. There really isnt a treatment for this, if it was bacterial obviously we would try cipro, but if this is due to flow. clean it up and move on and hope that none of the others do it

Battlebrush put to work this morning. Hit the bottom and now we see green instead of gray detritus :)

Polyps out after that. Chalky clarifier and glass cleaner. Have company coming today can't have the tank unpresentable.

Hammer that bailed still hasn't jellied and the polyp finally popped off and is in a detritus pile not jellied yet. Interested in what happens.

Bertha getting big.

"High end" zoas getting eaten up. Gonna have to maintenance that rock soon. Anyone want some fire and ice ogs?

... why is it that everything that happens in your tank happens in mine too at the same time.... STAHP!
Well... my oprhek bar, the same one, continues to burn out.

I've swapped other bars into its "place" pretty sure its a faulty controller at this point. Just replacing the leds .35 cents ea until i get the new controller they are coming out with.

I hope your lights arent going out.

Nah, in fact I just spectrum tuned them for better growth of things other than algae.

Spoke to soon ...

Phos dipped quite a bit... After brushing off rock exposing green algae... I think it started growing better???

From .14 to .04 .

Turned skimmer off, dumped some skimmate and upped dosing to get it back up.

But it left me thinking. How do I out pace algae, and get rock cleaned?

Do I need more cuc?
Remove algae?
Thinking and reading.

Have used vibrant before. Not using again after finding out they lied. Even though it worked. Lol.
