Halichoeres and Anampses are mostly diurnal but they can sometimes readily be hunting at night, definitely hunting these amphipods as it’s a great opportunity for food. There isn’t a specific one though, but chrysus and leucoxanthus for halichoeres and meleagrides for anampses are good choices for the nocturnal hunting IME. I also want to point out that since Macropharyngodons are skittish and will be active when lights go out especially in the first few days of addition these are also good candidates.
So my single red coris baby isnt enough to knock these guys down.... I need some heavier fire power....

Can have both chrysus and leucoxanthus? with my red coris?

You just aren't having luck. Get them wrasse @Petcrazyson listed some nice choices. I know my leucoxanthus and chrysus have torn up my pod/flatworm population. They're my A-team.

Other than just wrasse as options, dragonets (though don’t think they‘d pack the punch you’d need) will hunt amphipods at night.

Another strong wrasse choice would be melasmapomus

Is there an online vendor you'd trust to order? My LFS rarely has, and the closest place is maybe 2.5 hours and they may not have them... Never ordered a fish :S

Coris is still young and shouldn't have an attitude about the other 2. I guess you just can't know. Unless you really have her personality pegged.

A place where I’d trust to order wrasse from would be MarineCollectors but they are very pricey for my liking, cuz I know you can get them for a fraction of the price,

Dr Reef…..but I don’t trust his wrasse handling very well……

See the thing with wrasse, is they are very delicate shippers, so you’ve got to be overly cautious when ordering even from a trusted supplier. Its a big balancing issue with wrasse prices and shipping chances.

@SaltyT do you know of some good places to ship for wrasse?

Its like a horror movie... honestly 6 months of growth and they are being eaten by bugs...
like all my sunflowers last year... they'd get to about a 1' tall then I'd find the stalk bit in 1/2...
turned out to be rolly polies of all bugs...
