No change in zoas still tall and pinched thinning. No worms seen. No starfish on rock. Nothing looked remotely upset from the flatworm exit.

Cleaned skimmer cup (forgot to picture)

Did the calcium cloud clarify

Tonight need to test tonight, and water is taking forever to clear up after mixing salt.

Planted all the sticks! Everything is polyps out looking good. No losses. :d

Puffer staying in its lane still

Looking good. Mine seems to be stalled and possible losing.

Tanks and mostly testing are taking a back seat recently

Thanks bud, hope everythings okay and you're just busy having fun.

Tests tonight came in small water change in affect to help with any toxins. Will change carbon end of week. Nothing really seems bothered.

Zoas still on decline though? Or looking like they are recovering?
Still declining those ones, or rather same.... but i remember fragging them they stayed ticked for a week.

Hopefully they regain some strength. Otherwise I dont know what else to try...

Worms gone, dipped the grow out plug (didnt help) only other thing I can think of that would affect a whole rock of them.... is bacteria or starfish?

Theres pods (or look like pods) living in them reaching out and grabbing food (i think) I dont know if thats normal?

2 things can be true at once. There's several scenarios.
Starfish started to attack zoas, infection kicked in.
Zoas got infected, infection attracted starfish.
maybe ask the cafe on zoa treatment again? I've only treated for unwanted algae which involved peroxide.

I was doing well with zoas at one point with my current system. Once my foxface went to town on them. I seem to be cursed. I really wish I could offer a treatment to help here.

There are micro brittle starfish.
Very long thin limbs and they hide their main body while fishing for food. Could that be what you're seeing?

Definitely pods in the zoas colony, reaching out and snatching food. Their whiskers sticking out between the polyps.

Ill see if i can get a picture... They are so small. But I saw that post and was like... ehh maybe its the zoa eating pods.

Just got some really good pictures of them...

Is this my problem? Only zoas affected so far. Wrasses are my friend.

See them right in the middle of a healthy colony?

Halichoeres and Anampses are mostly diurnal but they can sometimes readily be hunting at night, definitely hunting these amphipods as it’s a great opportunity for food. There isn’t a specific one though, but chrysus and leucoxanthus for halichoeres and meleagrides for anampses are good choices for the nocturnal hunting IME. I also want to point out that since Macropharyngodons are skittish and will be active when lights go out especially in the first few days of addition these are also good candidates.
