Oxydator ran out this morning. Replaced with 12% up from 6% .

Zoas upset per usual on a refill I usually spill a bit
That’s a serious jump.

6% was an accident Christmas present. 12% was supposed to be what I used initially :)
If someone were to give me 6% hydrogen peroxide as a Christmas present I’d kick them hard in the groin and follow up with a quick throat punch. I hope you did the same. However, I have a feeling you said, “Oh look, 6% hydrogen peroxide! Just what I’ve always wanted!”

I asked for it :) and was grateful! someone in my family supported my reefing addiction

If you asked for it then how was it an “accident Christmas present”?

Well maybe a small update. Zoas still a little moodie post change of peroxide %. Everything else is ok. I've read and observed zoas to be the most reactive to any peroxide. Perhaps they will get used to it? Otherwise may have to take out a pellet from the oxydator. Running 3 with 12% for 250g ttl water volume

Fun picture

Urchin saying gimme a piece of that!

Zoas haven't been happy lately almost melting. Only long term difference is the peroxide upped and nutrients up. Some are bouncing back after I took it down to 2 catalysts and 12%

Vs prior it was 6% and 3

I think 12% and 3 catalysts was too much in the oxydator for 250g

Only coral affected was zoas and maybe Nepthea green only.

Green Nepthea has some weird algae growing on skin. Can blow off. Sorta want to see if it can fight it off.

Using turkey baster skin is coming off in sheets with healthy tissue underneath. Is it just part of the skin shed process?

Sounds like shed to me, but is there any gouging in the flesh when it comes off?
Not really it just has this nasty stuff on skin.

I have accidentally got it caught in vac before not recently and sucked out green pigment. This is more sheets of skin coming off.

That does not look like a normal shedding to me. Is the stuff coming off a really dark brown/black?
