flashed the light at night, nothing crazy. pod population living in them, some flat worms (white variety) no starfish on them in numbers.

hmmm....

This happened to me once, zoa spiders were the cause. It took forever and I never saw anything every time I looked until I finally did. Decimated colony by colony in the tank. That's actually why I got my canary wrasse, the colonies were too big and growing over full rockwork for me to pull and dip. They never did bounce back either.

I had one awhile back. But I haven't seen any either this time. I'll check again tomorrow night .... At least there's plenty.

Uhh at least that's what it looked like little white flat worms hugged to the stalk. Speckled back. Night time pic is awful.
You need to identify these. Dip it in freshwater.

Dipped, but nothing seen. They shrunk. just a bunch of pods and small bristles... hmmm

need to look for a flat form id page lol
