My tank size for the tank at the new house has been decided. i'll be picking up a 90 gal rr set up in 10 days. no sump is included. standard marineland tank/canopy and stand.
how big a sump should I have? thinking about having a rubble rock refugium in it as well. no lighting just rock.
suggestions and reasons why that size would be appreciated.

the bigger the better
I had a smaller sump on my reefer 250 but there are always things you want to put inside the sump. so now i have a trigger ruby 34 and still want more room

Skimz pro 34 from BRS cant beat the price and features. It even has a built in ATO, probe holders, adjustable gate for water level in the skimmer chamber and built in tube system for dosing. Hear mine.

You may find due to the 90 gallon size (usually 18-18.5" wide tank) of your cabinet your choices are limited. I put a RS-200 Eshopps sump under mine. It's a basic sump with two filter socks. Very quiet, just the slightest trickling sound of water flowing through the socks. And it holds plenty of water when the return pump is shut off and water runs back into the sump. Amazon sells them for about 210.00 delivered.

I like the idea of 40 gallons.. lots of room to play.. 40 breeder might be tight .marineland says the stand is 20 inches in depth.. looking around a 40 gal tall might work. 36 x 13 x 20. stand is supposed to have 29 inch height. I assume the interior will be a couple inches less.
