I think a 12' skinny tank is awesome!!! for a store to have. You can have mad frags and mad fish in such a system. I may have missed this but what are the plans for this tank(s)?

plants. Lots and lots of plants.

house the coming along?
Slower than expected. There were 3 nights last week where I couldn't do anything. Well, two that I couldn't and one where I needed a break. Pace is picking up this weekend.

I appreciate that, but it wouldn't move the needle much. The biggest problem is that I am doing the cabinet doors in an unheated garage and the layers of paint are taking forever to dry. It's taking 3 days of painting to get the cabinet doors ready, and that is if I don't have areas I need to sand down and repaint.

Ok so the doors for the 12 foot tank are filled, sanded and primed. The tank is plumbed except for one bulkhead fitting. The sump is in the stand and the back of the tank is painted.

The floating tanks have been masked and painted

We also now have three 180 gallon tubs for the reef sump and live rock vats.

Sherry got the second coat on the blue wall and only needs a bit of touch up.

it was a busy weekend but i dont think we are going to make the 7th folks. Just way too much to do and not enough time to do it. I am confident we can be done the weekend of the 7th amd open the next weekend.

Now, if helper elves that do painting and plumbing show up, then we can open the 7th. Lol!

OK. We are committed to the 14th. I just made the announcement across several groups on FB and on my FB page.

Like, Love and Share!

The outpouring of support in just the last 15 minutes has been almost overwhelming and has, to be honest, drawn a tear or two. I can't thank everyone enough.

We still have a TON of work to do but it will be done in time.

Sherry and I will be working tonight. Bobby is working today during the day.

Sherry and her sister Sue, whom a few of you met at the pizza party, will be working tomorrow.

Saturday will be Ryan, Sherry, Sue and myself at least. Sunday no Sue but the rest of us will be working.

We should have all the floating wall set and plumbed and the paint done. Hopefully, the troughs will have two coats of epoxy and be ready for glass and the sump plumbed for the shark tank and the 240 reef.

There will also be little odds and ends caught up as well as a bunch of cleaning.

I need some input:

The coral tanks are 11 tall with a water depth of about 1.5". I will be able to absolutely blast stuff with light.

But, I wonder about how tall to make the legs for the frag racks. The legs will be 3d printed and I want to get started tonight because it will take dozens of them. I was thinking 2" tall to allow good circulation across the bottom but not put them up too high.

Suggestions?
