Fairly new to the hobby. Been reefing for 2 years now. I started off with a 30 gallon cube and graduated to a 93. I’m ready to graduate to something bigger and non cube!!

Started off as a softie tank and recently started acro. Loving it!

It’s 30x30x30. Kinda regretting the cube though. I feel like the fishies don’t really have a column to swim in.
Your reef looks great!!!

I like cubes in regards to lighting :)

Your tank looks great. A narrow 4' long tank gives them a long run to swim, but maybe in your cube they'll appreciate the walls not pressing in on them

Soooo being that I’m a newbie I had a chalice that I thought I was a monti and I had it pretty close to some acro. I got a mag rock and I’m moving it away from all my acro friends.

It was sold to me as a monti and was pretty small when I got it. It grew quite a bit there. Here’s a pic when I got it. It was kinda in rough shape. This pic was 6 months ago

It sucks when that happens, but as long as it grew I guess you are ok! Looks like you have had some very good growth in those 6 months!

I completely agree!!! I have the same 93 cube. I thought 90+ gallons would be good for fish space and it also takes up less space in the house, but it didn't work out that way. Cubes suck!!! The 93 cube has the absolute worst under-cabinet space there is. I have a custom sump that only fits in from the top before you put the tank on. Because the stand is so short, there's hardly any room to remove my skimmer for maintenance. The sump takes up the entire cabinet. I hate the whole design.

I already have a new 180 rectantle tank, a Trigger 39 sump, a Deltec skimmer, two 25 watt UV's, two Reef Octopus VarioS-6 return pumps, and 3 AI Prime lights (though I'm looking at a 48" Current USA because they just came out with an XL Bracket for bigger tanks).

So I'm good equipment wise on the new tank. I just gotta plumb it, level it, and paint the back.

I can't wait to throw my cube out in the trash. The stand gets a ridiculous amount of water damage in the summer from condensation. I wouldn't sell someone a tank that could potentially collapse on them.
