that is not what i said, read it again;)
he didnt' point out that it was a different address than the one automatically given when mailing through paypal.
he didn't say, "here's my shipping addy, please note that it is different from my paypal one" which is required imo
i have had people send me their address when using paypal and it is the same as the one listed, so unless they specifically say that this address is different from the one under paypal, i wouldn't pay attention.
also, when using paypal, you are only protected as a seller when sending to the verified address iirc
twon, I don't think I needed to point out that the addresse is different...simply because, it is different. do you know what I'm saying? also, i shouldn't have to constantly remind him or give him comparisons on two different addresses. the request was made which he agreed to. i'm not his mom. also even if you think paypal as more than a tool to make payments, he disregarded to give me any information on the shipment UNTILL this bad review was made. he gave me the tracking # today (thursday)...great, how was i suppose to track it several days ago when it was actually shipped out? keep in mind that i sent him several PMs between monday ~ wends asking for the tracking # and i don't think the idea of "having lives outside of this hobby" is enough to disregard the people that you took money from. if you cannot afford the time to stay in touch with people that put their trust in you, then simply don't sell and waste our time in the first place. i've seen him on the forum several times between monday ~ today and i don't see any justification as to why he disregarded my PMs, my thread with his name, and my posts under his sales thread. like i've repeated so many times above, this could have been avoid and i would have been alot less upset if absinthe stayed in touch with me. double checking where the shipment is heading out to is the least you could do as a seller. and when i say assume... i mean putting faith in all the steps that many hobbyists take before shipments are made.
djscribz, despite your personal experience on the issue, the seller never questioned the issue of the addresse, leading me to believe that he knew where i wanted it to go. plus i made specifically requested to be sent to another addresse. i don't think i'm being 'lazy' about it when i specifically instructed where the item is going. it's as simple as that.
msman; this is the first bad experience i've had on cz. my first bad experience between any reef hobbyists actually. it sucks, but i guess on the other hand, its good because it's a sign that cz is growing as a community...but honestly, from my point of view and if i was the seller, i wouldn't argue so much about technicality because when it comes down to the final point, my request was disregarded resulting in this bad transaction. the return of cash is perfectly justified because we have both wasted time when all it took was absinthe to pay attention to what i've said. i guess i learned my lesson. maybe i'll just have my shipping addresse as my signature under every post, so i can avoid unnecessary problems like these...
minibowmatt; of course this thing didn't happen on purpose and if it did, there simply wouldn't be a point to this thread. even though it wasn't on purpose, a mistake was made on his part and i'm not bashing him with stubbornness or anything at all...i have my reasons which were posted and i'm simply asking him to step up to his mistakes and make right. i hold no grudge against him and i'm sure we will have my trust next time around if he does the right thing here... i made mistakes too with shipping because we are all just hobbyists and it takes experience when it comes to shipping out livestock, but as far as i can tell and hope, those mistakes were corrected when mentioned to me and i hope absinthe does the same.
