The bottom was bare and I added a bag of sand and covered the whole bottom. Once I upgraded the return pump it blew the sand to what it is now. I occasionally move it back but blows right back every time so I just leave it.

great looking tank! I love how naturally integrated the Mangrove's look. Mine is starting to out grow my fuge so I may have to follow your lead on this one!

Charlotte has some decent lfs. I'm in the Winston Salem/ Greensboro area.

Can you name the fish stores in charlotte? I'm right outside of Bristol about a 3hr drive been wanting to come that way anyway. Thanks

Nemo's reef is a pretty cool shop.
And upscale aquatics was alright.
I personally love going to triad reef critters in Greensboro though.

I found that mine took forever to root and sprout but once it actually sprouted a leaf it took off like a weed. all my plants grow really fast though, I got dirty water lol

Same here. I actually cut the growth off my tallest mangrove to keep it from over growing my light. It's slowed way down though since I cut it.

The Xenia is actually growing up the stems of my mangroves which I think it pretty cool
