I am in no way an expert on acclimation, but I've seen a far higher success rate by just temperature acclimating snails and crabs for 20 minutes and dropping them in my tank. I've had my tank for a year and I used to Drip Acclimate 4 or 5 inverts untill the salinity matched up. Every attempt was followed by at least one death a week or two after. For a couple months now I have changed to the float and drop method. I've added more than 7 bags of emerald crabs and turbo snails, and I haven't lost one of them yet. I don't know if I'm lucky, but I can't ignore my results. I only drip my fish. I have put many corals in with no acclimation with a 100 percent success as well. Has anyone else experienced this?
