Actually two 24 inch x 18 inch above the rim or actual measured inside the rim = 21 1/8 x 16 3/8 hinged tops work perfect - remember- when this is fully functional the one side will only have the plumbing coming out of the side to the external pump. The other side will have the plumbing coming down from the sump above - but I will be rotating/changing the plumbing so that it will flow into the back side of the 75 refugium = where the plastic area is on glass hinged covers - so I can cut them to fit. So, ya please pick them up - I will drive to your place to pick up ASAP. Gives me an excuse to see your setup as well.

Deal! I am off today to take the munchkin trick or treating, but I will call to make sure we still have 2. If not the Monroeville store probably will and that gives me an excuse to go visit everyone lol.

Edit: we do have them in stock at work so just let me know when is good for you:) I don't know if I gave you my number so I will PM it to you now.

Only have 1 fish to catch and 1 rock with coral on it to break up and the 65 upstairs with be ready to drainand give away. Getting crowded in the 75. My cherub angel is chasing the flame hawk they were in different tanks before. Hopefully , when i catch the melaranus wrasse he will be busy running to worry about the hawk.

Got some work done on the plumbing behind the new tank after cutting/modifying the canopy to accommodate both the overflow and the return plumbing coming from downstairs = not perfect but it will do.

Nice. Good news. I did NOT kill all the coral pieces that you gave me to hold onto yesterday! In fact ALL of them are still alive. Imagine that.

Looking good, only suggestion I would make is on the return plumbing I would swap out the few 90 elbows and use 2 -45 bends in place to help with head loss.

WELL - that was the idea - but I cant find all the 45's that I bought a few months ( over 6 months = arrrgg) ago when I put this to paper . LOL I had to improvise a bit. But you get the idea- both sides should look similar to the right side in the pic. Tomorrow I will be picking up several 45's. The plan is to try and have the 1.5 inch pipe coming from the basement split to 2 x 1 inch at the center of the tank about 1/3-1/2 way up the stand ( secured there by clamps drilled into the wood stand). Then use 2 x 45 degree bends to get the inch pipe to the holes in the canopy on each side. I have to use two 90's with a 3-4 inch long span of pipe between them to go through the canopy and into the tank because of the Eurobrace. Then when the last 90 is aiming down I will use one more "T" with reducers to 3/4" then that leads into spray nozzles - one on the surface ( to prevent reverse siphon if power fails) and one deeper. Still have not yet finalized plans on wave pumps.

OK - The 65 tank/stand/canopy/sump given away locally. "Playing it forward" as this equipment was given to me about a year ago getting me back into the hobby.

Progress PICS:

This is in living room where the edge of tank will go - note the kinda weird hardwood floor . When I bought this house it had a " raised brick planter", which we took down and you can see its exact dimensions where we made a hardwood flooring "patch". I was afraid I would have to cut holes into my "patch", but instead I was able to go thru the wall down through the basement ceiling. See next pics.

Have one more 1 1/2 inch pipe to get thru and then will be stuffing the area with insulation for both temperature control and so I don't hear the pump/skimmer upstairs.

Well- today , with a little help from my friends, actually a lot of help from my friends ( Kevin and Jaime) . We got the tank in place, plumbing completed in the overflows and most of the return plumbing. NOW all I have to do is connect the plumbing in the basement, put sand /rock in the tank, make enough saltwater to put into the tank, etc. Pictures coming , one of my helpers took pictures today. SO awaiting them to be emailed to me.

Reef Queen - If I could get him to clean his own room - I would be happy. But if you can motivate him - go for it!!

OK - I had extra Flex PVC after making my drain runs - so I was able to use it on the back of tank for return plumbing - SOOO much easier.

Maybe a "get together" at my place once I get everything working, livestock settled in, etc.

Sounds good. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
