I have some acropora that is growing into some digitata (and vice versa).
The two corals are about to meet in several areas.
Should I move one before this happens?
Will this be a big issue that I will kick myself for after it happens or will they mostly figure it out if they don't get moved?
And as for the "WHY" of the situation, I think I plopped the acro where it is when it was a little frag and I didn't have much luck with the few acros I tried before so I never expected it to actually take off I guess.

It's really a slow battle and there's plenty of time before one just takes the other over....sometimes they just stalemate and stop. Again..its pretty slow in the scheme of it.

I have similar situation in my tank due to coral growth and I let them grow into each other which on my opinion looks natural but this would only work with big colonies. If you prefer one over the other then you might have to give a helping hand with bone cutters.

Can you take a time lapse photo series of this war over the next 2 years? With the invention of Netflix, Hulu, etc, I need instant gratification…

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
