Hello!

Yesterday I received a WD from my retailer, straight from the supplier. It came to Sweden from Netherlands, I think.

I dripped it in and then placed it on the bottom, where PAR is at 300-350.

It still haven't shown any polyp extension. Don't know if I should worry, no R/STN.

The spot I had in mind for it has PAR at around 550. Its close to an acropora tenuis rainbow which quite recently started to show its true colors (attached picture).

My question to you is where you have placed your WD with best success, PAR-wise? I've read some info online but would love some input from people's own experience.

I have po4 at around 0,02 ppm, no3 around 5 ppm, kh 8.5, ca 440, mg 1390. Trace elements supplied with balling. Should be good parameters.

Give it a few more days. I have mine up high with very similar parameters. Moving it twice stressed it out a bit.

Yeah I figure I shall let it settle in a bit now, but good to know it has been happy in your tank with similar parameters!

In my experience, WD is a very resilient acro. I've grown it up high (under ATI Sunpower) and down on the sand bed. It does great wherever I move it. I don't think you'll have any problems with it. Your parameters look great. The lack of polyp extension is most likely because it's only been in your tank a few days. I would give it a week or so in lower PAR, then move it to its permanent spot.

That rainbow tenuis looks great btw!!

Cheers!

I've seen some polyps peeking out yesterday, which is a good sign!

Will keep it at the bottom for another week and then move it up to where it belongs :)

Mine was a pencil eraser nub when glued to its position.
Par around 350-400 from 250 watt 14k halides.
Its about 14" from the water line and gets lots of flow.
Its in the middle of the tank I have 2 6105's on the sides and 2 6095's on the back wall.
6095's are on off every 10 seconds and 6105' are constant. All powerheads at 100%.
Running around 9500 gph at any given time in my 120.
Not the best pick but its dead center and hard to get a good shot with my phone.
First 11 months under 8T5's and currently under almost 5 months of MH.
