I recently purchased a vertex puratek deluxe that comes with booster pump and all. I have an old rodi unit and want to use the three canisters but don’t know if I can put them before the new vertex unit. As in, use the old 3 canisters with 2 sediment, 1 carbon block and then on the start of the new vertex unit use carbon and then di resin in the last two. If that makes sense? Or does the booster have to be first

What is your water pressure reading running on your old unit? Are you running a booster on the old unit due to low pressure?

The booster came with the vertex rodi. The old unit did not have one. The booster gauge reads 125psi before going through the membrane I believe but the vertex unit is a bit wonky to follow the tubings

If you have at least a consistent 50+ psi coming into your unit, you don't need to have the booster at the beginning of the two systems you want to join. The danger of low psi is that you can prematurely wear out your RO membrane. Sounds like that is not your situation. Awesome ;) I'd just let your old unit act like a pre-filter for the new one. See how that works. Do you have a TDS meter to check the outflow?
