Hi all,

just a post as I can’t find much on it online. Is it possible to add new fish or corals to a tank that has a Dino outbreak?

just curious

thanks

I would personally eradicate dino prior adding anything, especially coral. 3 day black out + a good size UV worked for me. I left the UV ran for 10 days, even when the black out was over, and no dino eversince. Check your nitrate and phosphat as well

Adding fish may help by increasing your bioload thus possibly increasing your nutrient level. When I ran through my dino stage I increased my bio level and resolved my dino problem. Not sure what nutrient levels you have now but it will most likely help. As far as corals I would suggest waiting because they can be overcome and may cause a lot of irritation to your corals.
