First off I have a 320 gallon display with a 200 gallon sump. 90% sps with a few lps and some zoas.

I saw some red flatworms a while back after I got some frags from someone, I dipped the corals but I guess there were eggs. Anyway I dipped the frag racks in coral revive and I didnt see anymore flatworms, but I am going through the whole 3 treatment flatworm exit ordeal just to make sure I dont pass them along to someone else.

Tommorow is my last treatment for flatworms and I was going to do the 3 treatment interceptor treatment next because my tank is almost full and Im only looking for very few new corals just some rarer sps so it is a good time to just go ahead and do it.

My question is can I do my first interceptor treatment and wait 8 to 10 hours and do my last flatworm treatment for 45 minutes and do 1 water change instead of doing it seperate and 2 water changes in just a couple of days?

Any good advice would be helpful, I dont want to combine the two treatments if it is a bad idea.

Red flatworms really aren't harmful. What are you worried about with the red flatworms? If you have a breakout of them normally if means you have high nutrient because the red flatworms are photosynthetic.

I hate those red flatbugs, I was just wondering if flatworm exit and interceptor would be safe to use together.

flatworm exit will wipe them out. Interceptor won't. Interceptor will wipe out all your crabs and pods. If you have a lot of flatworms then the toxins from them will hurt stuff in your tank.

If ou can see alot of them then you probably have at last 1oo times that amount in your tank. If you put flatworm exit in your tank they will all die at once. you will have a s%^tstorm of dead flatworms.better have a 100% water change ready cause their toxins WILL KILL everything in your tank if you have alot of them. Been there done that! I would just leave them alone cause I think they are harmless. Or get a green coris wrasse as I have done,Im pretty sure he eats them cause I havent seen a flatworm, zoo nudi or pyramid snail since his introduction

I have already done the first two treatments of flatworm exit so I am past the danger point on that.

The question I have is can I combine a treatment of interceptor and flatworm exit?

Why risk it? I would not, whats waiting a week and doing another waterchange rather than risking your tank.

I have treated with both at the same time in a 50 gallon qt tank with no ill effects.

Youre right, Ill just wait and do it later. I dont see any redbugs anyway, I just have most of the coral thats going to be in the tank so I thought it would be a good time but Im just going to wait and do it later.

I've never used them together, Tommy. I keep (planaria) flatworms for my wrasses and mandarin, but Interceptor anything incoming for red bugs. Never done them together, though.

He knows the difference between the two. He was just wondering if the treatments could be done together.

FWIW Tommy, I did 4 treatments of FWE and didnt solve the problem. I got a sixline for the main and problem solved! :D

Just FYI, I had flatworms one time and did a double dose treatment w/Flatworm Exit. I thought that got them but I saw a few more in 2 or 3 weeks. I did a triple dose then. All the starfish came out and were squirming on the sand like they were dying.

Bottom line, no more flatworms and the starfish are fine.
