Hey! I just got an AI HD Prime light and was wondering if anyone has certain settings that show off the colors in your tank
I have my 2 set to 100% on violet, royal blue, and blue. 50% for all of the others. Corals and the coralline algae look amazing.

If you select manual, then look to the right side of the color channels you will see color wheel button. Click that and you can spin the color from 10k - 20k and see which color looks best in your tank. Click back to the color channels and you can see how the channels are balanced.

I like mine around 16k

It's only a 15g. Always wanted one so I decided to covert my FW. I see all these tanks that look killer under the light and yet to reproduce that look. I'll try ^ and take a pic.

I LOVE my AIs :D
You will too lol
Theyre so easy to customize

I have one on a 25 gallon cube and one on a 20 gallon tall:
9am-10am:ramp up to 14.5K
4pm-5pm: ramp up to 19.5K
8pm-9pm: ramp down to 0
I used to run intensity at 50-55% buuuut I got in some sensitive bleached coral so I started at 25% and am currently at 35%.
Best growth IMO happens at 14-15K but the best colors for the "pop" of color are definitely 19.5-20K.

I am wanting to get 2 of these for my 75 gallon reef tank. I am wanting to keep sps that require 400 par. Would these work? I wouldn't have glass tops on.

When I checked PAR on mine:
AI was 8-10 inches above water-nothing between water and light
5 inches below water @ 20K-100% intensity was 200
15 inches below water @ 20K-100% intensity was 100

That was directly under the light-I only have one on my cube. I didnt test what 14K was though because at the time, that wasnt in my light schedule-it is now lol so I should retest.
I would research it more for sure. I adore my lights-have those on 2 of 3 tanks.

For some reason I'm not getting notified when new comments are made, sorry for the delay I'll check my settings. I've been running the first suggested settings and on Friday I had a huge purple slime outbreak, did a water change and it was fine for a day and for the past 2 days I've had a greenish yellow powder coat in my tank, cleaned 3 times and water change with no luck. Just my tank going through something or to much light?
