Hi r2r was wondering if anyone can help me work out the fault code my non hd hydra is giving me. When it is powered up and running the power light goes from green to whitish colour and blinks red, that happens with or without the director. I've done a factory reset on both and the issue isn't resolved. Also when I go to discover the light it goes into a fit ( the light that is ) pucks and certain colours stop working and they all flash. I've tried looking for the codes on google but can't find anything. I'm guessing the motherboard of the light is broken. Any help will be much appreciated.

Can you confirm that you followed these steps to factory reset the light....
1. Hold down the red button on the side of the light (Keep holding it until it flashes red/green)
2. Remove the power jack from the light itself (Continue to hold the red button down)
3. Push the power jack back into the light whilst still holding in the red button.
4. Release the red button.

Here is a video

Hey @Lenny_S, that's exactly what I done to reset the light. I've done it again this morning but now the button on the light is unresponsive. While the light is running I've got a red status light and the button doesn't work.

If I turn the power off to the light and turn it back on the button becomes responsive however the status light stays red the whole time. If I hold the button down for 2 seconds it blinks orange.

I'm not a technician, but sounds like a bad light... I think it's time to call AI support. [emoji20]
Sorry for your troubles.

Thanks for the help tho it's appreciated. Unfortunately it was second hand and is 2 years old. Might still get in contact with them and see if I can buy a new mother board

I also am running second hand hydras; and a fish splashed one of mine. Ai sent me a board already configured to my light all I had to do was open the light and slap it in. It was super easy and ai was great to deal with. I would give them a call their customer service is great
