Dropped on of my supplementary ai primes into my new display tank while mounting it in my lighting hood. It was powered off and unplugged. I have it in a bag of rice trying to dry it out. Any chance of surviving this?

Did you rinse it thoroughly with RO water after dropping it? Assuming it fell into saltwater
Literally did it 5 minutes ago so not yet. I’m assuming that’s to stop the saltwater. Should I soak it then add it to the rice?

You want to rinse away the salt so it doesn’t leave salt creep behind and destroy everything. With an RO rinse and proper drying, it may be fine.

Might not hurt to take it apart to let everything dry properly

Took it apart and wiped it all down with isopropyl alcohol to help clean off any potential salt creep. Running a fan over it while it’s open. Hopefully it’ll really dry it out.
