AliExpress A8SE Reef Light

Actually they last, i have talked to one of the owners of that light and apparently it doesnt have any problem regarding the flashing between ramps also it comes with the meanwell so thats that
He used it for a long time maybe 2 years already

Its worth it with the A8pro dont buy the A8SE not worth it
I'd say the opposite. The A8SE is only 20% of the cost of the light it's based on, and works great for most people. But I haven't seen evidence that the Cree leds used on the A8 Pro are really any better than the Chinese ones used on the A8SE, so I'm not sure if it's worth the increased cost.

Maybe its just based on pure luck and besides most of the reefers who use the light run it at like low intensity so yeah

OMG enough with this flashing stuff. it happens and its sooo subtle most probably never see it. Thats why no one mentions it. its just the way its programmed and doesnt ramp through the program as smooth as other lights out there. It doesnt cause any issue.
I have been running mine for 2months and zero issue with connection/WIFI and I pasted mine without any issues either. I have my new one sitting in the cabinet waiting to be used, But I already pasted it and connected it to the app and had zero issue adding it and no problems pasting it. Not sure if some people who take these apart to paste them man handle them like a goof or what

You took yours apart and broke it, and now you’re angry.
Sorry but bit selfish because you didn't encounter any problems so far when there is lots of problems with them.

I think when/if you're light craps out, you would feel exactly the same same. Disappointed and angry are total different based on facts clearly detailed here.

I'd hold of the smiles and not confuse anger with disappointment. The poster with the problem has had them just 2 months and you would be exactly the same.

Why are you in this thread? You don’t own one nor are you looking to buy one, your comments are unhelpful and distracting from the conversation.

I'm sorry but thought we all had the same rights here.

Your assumptions are wrong by the way.

We are discussing facts of the constant problems this light has and I'll speak when I want.

Why not join in instead of wagging your finger trying to police who you want to comment or not.

Press ignore if you don't like the facts.

Constant problems of what?
Connections? I think thats due to peoples wifi setups. I had zero issue getting 2 lights connected in seconds. I have heard countless complaints about Mobius so this wouldnt be something to compare.
These LED falling off of all the lights people had I have only seen 2 report this.
the LED blue cluster that was probably a defect and the seller usually sends a replacement for free. If its out of warranty it cost $40
Still not a huge issue as its cheap to fix and no different than an expensive light dying and now you gotta pay a big repair bill instead.
Have you used one at all? If not you have nothing but word of mouth to go by so you have no actual input to give at all on how the lights perform.
I will gladly take these over Radions. Even if i need to replace it every year it will take 5years to equal the cost and well I probably wont even have a tank up that long.

You are not qualified to make judgement, as you don’t own one. I own three of these lights.
The only experience you’ve had of them is what people post on this thread, and as with the rest of Reef2Reef, people post up their problems and issues. This makes up probably 90% of all posts.

Apologies Tim, I was a little harsh with my previous comment. I am here to try and help you. Hence why I posted up a link to the spare parts for this light, for you, earlier today.

I'm so glad there are people like you popping in to confirm their negative biases towards a product they've never used, telling people with working products that their products are in fact garbage, and attempting to shame everyone for their purchasing decisions. Your contributions to this thread are invaluable. Keep up the good work my friend!

You’ve made about 40 posts on Reef2Reef and nearly 20 of them are you criticising something you’ve never had any experience with. 😂😂😂

Was intending to make an order for the light with meanwell - was advice by the supplier.

"The factory has stopped using Meanwell power from a long time ago because the light has a slight voltage leakage when it is connected to Meanwell. Now they use Chinese power supply and it is equally durable."
True?

Has anyone experienced issues with not applying thermal paste, especially at lower than 75 percent power?

I buy a black box in 2012 "it2060" 3 burn led (uv) still working.
Black box d120... 6years old...
A8'S for more then a years. No problem. (Just don't open them !)

I will never ever pay 1200$ for a light... it's not in my budget.
