Sad day---

One of my Mocha Vincis is starting to have a head way bigger than his body. And i can start to see his spine thru the white part of the body. I have been monitoring them over the last week to observe eating behavior. It seemed as if they both were eating just fine. But on further observation today, the frail one keeps eating the pellets then spitting them back out. Never actually ingesting. I also threw in some garlic coated mysis... and same thing unless the mysis is tiny bits of skeleton/ legs (which have no nutritional value to a starving clown).

I REALLY thought that I was going to avoid casualties this time around... I'm sad. there's no physical signs of infection. I dont know what could be wrong. The rest of the tank is very healthy and day by day the Lemonpeel gets more brave. Soon she will be a porker like the Valentini.

also tried soaking the pellets before they went into the tank.

did one extra large feed of pellets and brine and the mochas seemed to go for it!!

gonna garlic soak the brine for tomorrow. Was just super eager to see if it worked.

Bad news bears.
We got a vertical swimmer. Looking more emaciated. Not trying to go after any food, even garlic coated

Thanks, I just moved them both to the sump so i could monitor their feeding better. Contacted my LFS and hoping they respond soon. Im wondering if they received injury from being caught when they gave them to me.
Video isn’t working for me, is it one of the clowns?

Update on the clown:

He passed around 7pm today. :/
I did a one minute FW dip around 5pm, and he was breathing pretty labored all day.
I did a quick look over once I removed him from the tank- no visible signs of infection or parasites. Nothing is attached to his gills.
Just gone.... :(

That is a real bummer. I hate fish mysteries.
