Came home from picking up the hare and found my fuge light IN the fuge o_O
thank GOD someone super smart convinced me to get a ground.
surge protector was fine, the only thing kaput is the fuge light. Even the amphipods in the fuge seem unphased. That had the potential to be catastrophic!
—-side note, is there somewhere to take the light//cord? Is it okay tojust put electrical stuff in the trash?

Andddd.

I don’t have to! He’s already moving like crazy!!!! He’s eaten so much I just watched his mouth bleed ;Blackeye I think he was starved before shipping. He’s munching on so much stuff! He’s already made one full lap of all the rock work!
I did just take a picture of the harriest rock to see how quick he makes work of it!
I also was gonna clean some HA outof the fuge but I think I’ll just plop him in there once the DT is nice and cleaned up.
then I’ll start supplementing with algae clips.

I’ve been wanting a brittle Star to help with some detritus clean up.
was checking out the tank pre lights out...
And
I saw a little arm pop out of the rock work
So somehow I must have missed a hitchhiker!
Anyways that’s not the update I wanted to share.

today I made my own cocktail
Ingredients were:
-reef roids
-redsea AB+
-nori
-mysis
-phyto
-raw shrimp
-selcon
-garlic
-tank water

we used to make this stuff at the aquarium and the tank critters LOVED it. We had fresh made phyto and brine, plus a wider variety of meats to add, but I made due with what I had! So now that I’m on the last bits of my stuff I just decided to combine it all to make it last a little longer.
Fish and corals seemed to LOVE it.
ill keep you guys updated! Also, it made a blender full so I put the leftovers in a gallon baggie and froze it so I can feed it for a couple weeks :)

if y’all were close I’d make it for you too!

You can BARELY see him,
But
He’s dead center of the photo snuggled in the rocks.

he’s doing a mighty fine job cleaning around the base of the rocks on the sand bed but hasn’t had any desire to chew on the rocks higher up yet.

My inverts and fish may be hit/miss but my corals are THRIVING

the blender food I made has made the montis & birds nest grow so fast
I seriously can’t believe how quickly they are exploding @Kattkrazie can you see more growth since I last texted you???
I think maybe it’s time for some new additions

Gonna do a small H2O change and clean up some of the hair algae, and just purchased a new bag of chemipure blue. I can always tell when it’s time for a new bag when cyano starts to creep back in.

Good job! Those are definitely thriving. Some reefers think that birdsnests are more finicky than acropora. So maybe you are ready for the Walt Disney Acro? It's pretty hardy. Just let me know! :)
