I'm not sure why all of my snails are dying. I started using Red Sea coral color and reef energy and my snails have all stopped moving. I lift them up and can see they are barely alive. What am I missing?

Are you testing for the elements in the colors supplements?

Something's wrong with your water parameters. If your tests all show fine, take a sample to your local fish shop. I lost all my snails discovering that plastic salinity testers slowly accumulate deposits and read lower and lower over time. Apparently coral and fish adapt to a specific gravity over 1.030, but snails and clams do not. My LFS used a refractometer and diagnosed my problem. I trashed my plastic device and bought a refractometer right then. All is well since. Good luck.

Look for Polyclad Flatworms, or Pyramid snails. You'll need to look at night.

Some other likely suspects might be larger hermits, or predatory worms.

How long ago did you buy the snails?

Wow I definitely made an amateur mistake and let my salinity get to 1.034. I don't know how that happened. I checked my refractometer but it's calibrated. I must have made the salt too strong my last water change and tested wrong.
