Mostly good news here, but i did lose one of the 5 baby Haddoni's. It was not in the best shape but I gave it a chance. It started to deflate and inflate a lot, moved a bit and then it started to melt and would not inflate anymore.

The other 4 are fine. And if all goes well, I can maybe finally pic up a Blue Gigantea. It has landed in my country, it is at a place who I trust... so tomorrow we go and take a look :)

For now the 4 baby's

Was the one that was deflating in your display tank? If so hate to break it to you but that bacterial infection is now most likely in the tank with the rest of them. I would hold off on spending lots of money on a gig until you make sure none of the other carpets have contracted the disease

Yes thanks for the headsup.

I am not sure if I am on the same boat concerning this problem. I have not reached the point I am treating my anemone.

If we catch a anemone which has the infection, it was able to live with it. It was probably thriving at its spot otherwise a diver wouldn't pick it out. So in the first place anemone are fine living with it I think.

After catching it is either in the anemone or it is not (besides being infected at the farmers tanks).

Depending on shipment and other circumstances after catching, the infection is either taking over or not.

If it’s not taking over you have a anemone with the infection that is able to handle it. So I would think a healthy anemone can easily live with this problem if all other circumstances are correct.

I expect my other anemone to not go down purely due to the infection. I expect them to already have it and are able to keep it in check.

So… I am not really concerned. Maybe I should be and maybe I am going to regret this. Lets hope for the best.

Those are big chunks, how often do you feed?
This was the second time, and I was actually testing how big I could go. I gave the biggest piece to the white one (the one where it looks too big 😀 ).

I think this is about what I want to feed once every 3 weeks. I don't feed often due to pollution.

IME, if you feed them smaller amount of food more frequent they will do better. Ig you think about. Anemone mass are tiny in compare to their inflated size. You may be feeding your anemones more mass than their dry weight in the series of pictures above. Over feeding can cause a lot of problem. Regardless, I can get my Gigantea grow from 3 inches to 16+ inches in 1 year by feeding them smaller amount every 3 days.

Yes Agreed. I am in no need to let them grow. As said, I don't feed that often. This was a test, it went better then I thought. I was indeed thinking about the whole thing going to be dissolved and "rot" in it's body... but to be truly fair,

I don't think this is going to be a problem.

The concern is good but.. anemone will eat complete fish with easy. And I want to feed complete fish for the correct nutrients. So I keep on pressing the size sometimes.

In other news....

I was thinking like.... "I want a few nems so I can see one from every side".
Seems like a good plan.

Ended up as:
