I have a 90 and an 120. i got two rose anemones one in each tank. They came from a tank with R\o water which I do not use. They were doing ok. They were filled out. But I made a couple of moves and now they don't look well. And its been awhile. In the 120 the one has crawled into a ock hole. But it still seems full. In the 90 the one doesn't look full. Its a bta but it looks more like rock anemone. I have another nem that is is doing well. The 90 nem has moved a few timea but hasn't gotten back to being full again. I can move the rock its on but I am not sure it would like its new spit better. Maybe I will move it. First pic is a zoom in.

Moving them is not going to help unless you move them to another tank completly! I suspect your water is the issue. If your not using RO water you have no idea what uour putting into your tank. Most city's use chlorimine these days. It does not brake down as easily a just chlorine, both of which are toxic. The water quality report for your are will tell you a lot. There are so many possible other toxins including lead, copper and other metals in tap water.
Tell us more about your tanks. How long have they been set up. Waa live or dry rock used. What lights and your lighting schedule. Anemones love light. Many tanks are under light. Next what are your water parameters, especially Alkalinity?

Added two
Great work with pictures
Water that runs to your tap/faucet, through lead pipes, copper pipes, or for your convenience plastic, that's why rodi water is more important, you may live in a new house with shiny pipes but water comes through the sh1t pile before it reaches your shiny new tap. Just a thought

I have a big one in my 120.Same water. does fine. But the tank is larger and more established. I have aragonite substrate where as my 90 has fine sand that came with the tank. I may add some crushed coral to my 90. I don't like the substrate. I did up the alkaline in the 90. The new did not like the change. It is hanging on as it is a a good size nem. The small ones still struggling.

Agree with others, don't touch them. They will just move again and you'll cause more stress. What is the age of both tanks? What are the current parameters? Do you have issues with other corals or keeping inverts alive?

Ok. I have the gyre shut off. This morning when I turned in the lights it was out and open. But after lights in it shrinks some. So I dud not put all four on. Just running two for now but read these like a lot of light.

Once acclimated they do. Mine all sit right under my kessil 360 at 95% and 4-8" below the water.

How often can you feed them? I know every other day is probably the safest and not every day. And what size food? I do a small piece of krill from lfs. But can you feed something larger? Like a hunk of shrimp? Can I feed daily? I do sometimes but worry about uneaten food.

I can't tell you the last time I fed my nems. They catch what they catch. 2 have turned into 7 and the largest is about 12" across now. You don't have to feed them. If you do choose to, once a week and something small, not a chunk of anything.

since I have had problems with some of them struggling I want to give them every chance. so every other day is safe i read. every day is possible but you run the risk they don't digest. the two i feed are large. not huge. the other two that are stuggling I cannot feed because they are hiding and closed. but i think the larger they are the more easy they can live. so feeding them to get them to grow faster is no problem for me

If your nems are already having problems food can make it worse. They get everything they need from lighting. Food can add more stress.

Sorry to keep asking. I shut off my pumps. So the anemone comes out at night. What I mean is that sometime during the day it will recede. But in the morning it is out as a tube before the lights go on. I had been running 4 T5s on my 90. 3 blue one white. The nem seems to do better when I just run the one white and one blue in the back. If I put on the front blues it recedes. I may have to remove the one white and replace with a blue because of algae. But the nem seems to want just two lights.

The lighting isn't too much. Probably just getting acclimated still. 4 T5 is way easier on coral than most single LED lights.

I think it will eventually be alright. Its about a 5" anemone across when its happy. My smaller ones have disappeared. I see them from time to time.

You still have not given any parameters of your tanks. Makes it hard to help any more. Aragonite helps keep alk and ph stable. If the other tank as silica sand that may be a contributing factor.

I did post parameters. I know there are many replies. But I did post the alk and the calcium.

My BTA has hidden under a cave since I first introduced in December, only recently past month it has appeared out of cave, I just left the guy alone and let it do it's thing, now it's out and atop the cave it used to hide, I can now do more to help it grow like target feeding, I know it's not ideal your BTA hides but it can decide and chose its own location
