I have an LTA that is likely too small to host a pair of pink skunk clowns without getting too beaten up by them.

But the question is, how large should an LTA be before getting a pair of pink skunks?

How small is the LTA? When I first got mine it was probably about 6 or so inches across. It started hosting a pair of ocellaris clownfish shortly after.

A good rule of thumb for this is a 3-to-1 ratio, 3 inches of anemone per inch of fish.

If you feed them, they grow so fast, get to hosting size in no time at all.

IME... it takes about two years for a clown to notice an anemone in the tank, so you have plenty of time to feed it up to size 🤔

My maroon went to the bubble tip in my tank the same day I added her. It took 2 days for her to bond with the male that was already in the tank. I consider myself pretty lucky.

My LTA started hosting clowns in a few weeks. However with my BTAs in another tank took 8 years for them to figure it haha. I think it depends on the clowns.
