Yea that is Inappropriate reefers sticker from YouTube. His channel is awesome and super entertaining to follow his journey! I think the certification is just stating it is drinking water/food safe.

Also, here is my most recent recovery project. I found this fragment on the bottom of the tank. The last known picture I have of it attached was March. So for roughly 5-6 months this frag has been in the sand/bottom of the tank floating around and just recently exposed itself where I could see it with a very faint green tint. So let's see if I can restore it!

Quick Zoa shots. First picture is with a orange filter and the second is with my phones manual WB. I like both shots in their own way.

Grunt ;) Or is it ground pounder these days? I don't remember other than I was a wing nut / air force. Stationed overseas. Anyway freedom day was a bit different. It was a giant 747 that we called the freedom bird :) Looking back I can say what memories I do have living overseas and off base away from Americans was a joy. That freedom for me didn't last as I actually missed working on aircraft so I ended up pulling another 26 years in the guard ;)

So 5th as if 5th year anniversary? Never the less grats.

;Hilarious Kudos to you for hanging in there, I only did 3 years but long term was never the plan anyways. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I went the officer track or Air Force. There is just too much stupid that goes on and I ask wayyyyyyy too many questions ;Hilarious 5th year yes, I got out 8/28/2015 - I feel like I know this date better than my wifes birthday ;Playful

Update on the CO2 Scrubber. I went ahead and swapped out the cheesy poof jar for another container with a better lid and redesigned to have the air pull from the bottom as opposed to the bottom side. Additionally, I have it recirculating air from the skimmer still and covered all but 1 of the skimmer holes so it still pulls in ambient air. So far the results are much better. Overall, my average PH has increased by .34 points and I've had to turn the calcium reactor PH down, originally I had the reactor PH at 6.75 and it is now at 6.60. In combination with that I've had to turn up the Kamoer from 65 ml/min to 83. Not much room left on the Kamoer so once it hits 100 ml/min I will buy a versa. This pump only goes up to 120 ml/min and the versa can do 300 I believe. It's also way cheaper so I might break even selling the old Kamoer.

Either way, all positive signs and looking to see the growth explosion!

How frequent do you think you will need to change the media and do you think it is worth the cost? I've thought about it and also thought about running a line outside since I'm near a wall and could do it. Then i just say no, not a high priority yet. Just wondering your thoughts.

To continue a side note on the flooring, maybe 4 months back we decided to continue that flooring into the master bedroom and upstairs... come to find out they don't make it anymore! Annoying but we found something similar that we like so it worked out I suppose.

Currently there is 9lbs (it could fit another 3lbs) of media in there and this is the same media I started with in the other container, so far it's been 2 weeks, you can see maybe the top inch is purple. My hope is to get at least 30 days, with 45 being ideal. Each bag of media is 3lbs and cost $12 but I will be buying the 5g jug next time. Unsure the weight of that but it's around $120. So worst case we're looking at about $40 a month if it only lasts 30 days.

I also considered drilling a hole but it opens up other potential environmental issues. If growth is considerably quicker then the investment per month is a no brainer to me

No problem, I'll update when I finally need to swap out the media and we'll see how the tank is doing!

On a side note I'm trying to increase my Alk as well. I'd like to get closer to 9 but have been stuck in the low 7's. Most recently 7.2 on Tuesday. I run higher NO3/PO4 so that is why I want high pH. I am a number chaser and I don't care ;Playful

Thank you to everyone who subscribed to my YouTube channel, I finally reached 1000 subscribers!

Meanwhile here is a bunch of pictures showing growth from August to September. I was watching a stream coralvue did with Mike Palleta and he said the 1st of every month is coral picture day. I've decided to adopt that mentality to track my own growth. What you won't see in these images is crazy colored corals... they're just from my phone and designed to track growth!
